NATURE-WRITING WORKSHOP/WALKSHOP
WITH ANITA SETHI
Saturday 16th October, 11am
Venue: Falmouth Gallery
Price £7/£5
Anita Sethi is an acclaimed writer whose debut I Belong Here was shortlisted for this year's Wainwright Prize for UK Nature writing and is currently longlisted for both the Portico Prize and the Books Are My Bag Readers Awards.
I Belong Here has been acclaimed as a “thing of beauty” by the Sunday Times, “a memoir of rare power” by the Guardian, and “an amazing odyssey: inspiring, powerful, encouraging and incredibly brave” by the Independent. It was selected as Stanfords Book of the Month, chosen as a Hottest Book of 2021 by the Guardian and shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize for naturing writing.
Join her for a walking workshop which will help you draw inspiration from nature in your writing practice. You will take a walk around Falmouth's waterfront and discuss your inspirations, talk about writers who may have influenced you, and create some writing in response to your surroundings.
Numbers are limited so book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Note: If the weather is bad, the workshop will still take place, but will be limited to the confines of the Gallery space and your imaginations!
