Gillian Burke

A Nature Writing

Workshop

Saturday 24 October

11am–1pm (2 hours)

Above the Bookshop

£12 / £5 concessions

How can writing about nature change the way we see it? And can words help us feel more connected to the living world around us?

Join biologist, broadcaster and Springwatch presenter Gillian Burke for an intimate, discussion-led workshop exploring nature, identity, belonging and our relationship with the natural world.

Drawing on the ideas behind her new book You Are Nature, Too!, Gillian considers how writing can deepen our sense of kinship with the landscapes, creatures and ecosystems around us.

This is a relaxed, conversational session rather than a conventional writing class. There are no exercises and no previous experience is necessary, just curiosity and a love of nature.
